Erik co-founded Arkwright Capital with three colleagues from Bain and Company in 1985/6, evolving into European Digital Capital, an investment platform to take advantage of the growing opportunity to invest in technology-driven sectors benefitting from digital transformation.
Erik was also the co-founder and former 40% owner of Hoist Finance, a leading European acquirer of consumer non-performing debt. HOIST Finance was successfully listed in 2015 with a then market capitalization of approx. EUR 600m. Under Erik’s leadership more than EUR 10bn in non-performing consumer credits were acquired by Hoist Finance and successfully monetised.

Prior to leading this effort, Andreas was a partner of Lone Star Europe for six years, most recently as Head of European Financial Institutions. He was involved in a number of large acquisitions, including AHBR (EUR 75bn assets German mortgage-lender) and IKB (SME-lender with EUR 53bn assets). Andreas has previously also served on the Board of Directors of Deutsche IKB AG and Düsseldorfer Hypo, as well as a Member of the Executive Committee of IKB AG.
Andreas leads the strategy and financing on our loan portfolio and servicing operations having extensive experience in this regard from Lone Star and was the former CEO of DDM, one of our larger investment holdings

Scott has been active in guiding and supporting business growth and managing change since he came to Europe in 1991. He was a partner at Advent International having started out as an analyst in 1987. Scott took a Partner role at Deutsche Bank (Morgan Grenfell) in late 1998 only to birth his own private equity operation 4 years later with the creation of Eaton Gate Limited, a private capital and advisory business which included JP Morgan, Newscorp, TDIC (UAE Sovereign), Exor, and the Saudi Arabian Pension Fund as clients. Eaton Gate joined forces with AEDC in 2017. Scott has held north of 35 Directorships (Boards of Directors)
Taking all these experiences together as a whole, Scott has been responsible for investing EUR 1bn of equity capital in over 20 businesses and achieving a gross IRR of 59% (Source: KPMG). Scott has been particularly successful in growing investments via acquisition and through a transformative infusion of leading digital methodologies that take advantage of existing infrastructure to greatly impact the operating characteristics and growth of enterprises. Scott leads the Financial Solutions Team at AEDC, and in that capacity is Chairman of Omnio, AEDC’s leading Fintech investment.

Joachim is an experienced banker with close to 20 years of experience at business and private banking departments of Danske Bank in Sweden and Luxembourg. He was the former Regional Head of Private Banking for Danske Bank in Stockholm and Northern Sweden as well as the Head of International Clients in Luxembourg.
Clare is an experienced private equity executive, having presided over numerous investments with Eaton Gate and Luxcite. Clare was also the Group COO for EMEA while at Macquarie Capital and was also an early member of KPMG’s private equity practice. She holds a LLB from Glasgow University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business from Strathclyde University.
Jakub is an experienced Fintech entrepreneur and restructuring specialist. Prior to joining AEDC he spent his career in investment banking and asset management. Most recently he was responsible for investments in Poland and Germany for Hoist Kredit. Prior to this he worked in Corporate Restructuring at RBS.

Suzy has many years of experience building and operating businesses as a new business and growth strategy leader. Her experience is across a number of market sectors and geographies in fast-paced, high-profile entertainment, media, and fashion organizations. She has had high profile roles with Donna Karen and The Walt Disney Company, she has also been active with Omnio, MTV, BAT and WPP.
Markus is a structured finance and investment banking professional who has over 18 years of experience from leading financial institutions in the UK, Germany and Austria. Markus works with AEDC in the Vienna office with deal structuring of asset transactions. He holds a magistrate degree in business administration from University of Business Administration and Economics Vienna and a masters degree in International Taxation Law (LL.M. Vienna)
Mark comes to us from his Senior Strategy role at Avios, International Airline Group (IAG), and prior to that he was a Head of Planning and Finance at the BBC. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Finance (2005) Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, Canada
Nike began her training in the high-end consumer goods and retail industry transferring to an accelerator in Stockholm and on to Milano Venture Company, a venture capital shop in Italy. Her focus has been on high growth investment opportunities in Europe.
